Small and friendly surf school, 6 people per class.   Friendly environment for families and individuals alike.

You are sure to improve. The small classes mean we can concentrate on you and your particular needs.

WHERE ARE WE ?

In July and August classes take place exclusively in Bidart where conditions are often ideal at that time of year.

In low season classes can be on any of the surrounding beaches : Hendaye, Guethary and Bidart so that classes can be adapted to pupils.

So that we can be sure that you will enjoy the best time to surf during the day, class times will vary according to the tides.

SURF AND ENGLISH TEACHER

Judd Hill

Judd was born in South Africa and has lived on the Basque Coast for 15 years. He has a diploma in surf teaching and has been giving surf classes in Bidart since 2013. He has also been a lifeguard for the last 20 years.

He is the ideal instructor if you don’t speak French. He teaches English to children and adults during the winter. His love for teaching is clear in all his classes, where his experience in education and his sense of humour are appreciated by all !

As a father, his sense of responsibility will ensure that all classes are very safe and his famous sense of humour make his classes unforgettable.

SURF INSTRUCTOR

Paul Guerrero

Paul grew up on the beaches of Bidart and Guethary. Since he was 7 years old has has continued to explore all the surf spots in the area, as well as nationally and internationally. He has taken part in competitions since he was a child and is now a passionate free surfer.

A year in California brought his English up to an excellent level, so he can teach surfing easily both in French and in English, the two main languages of Bidart surf.

He decided to take his diploma in surf teaching so he can pass his experience and passion for surfing to others.

J'étais terrorisée à l'idée d'aller dans les vagues mais Judd a été super rassurant et est venu avec nous en mer, nous a tenu nos planches, nous a guidé sur le bon moment, la bonne vague ... rien que pour sa bonne humeur et sa gentillesse, on se relève, on ne lâche pas.. et on reviendra ! Premier cours de surf entre copines. Judd est un super prof, très pédagogue et très rassurant pour cette première expérience. Je recommande vraiment ce club de surf !

Superbe matinée de surf avec Judd. Excellent 101 lesson with Judd from SA (English follows) Avec deux garçons de 8 ans et 14 ans, nous avons suivi un super cours en toute confiance, sécurité, pédagogie et motivation avec Judd. Superbes petites vagues pour bien commencer à Bidart. En qqs vagues nous étions tous les 3 debouts. Nous voilà conquis et enthousiastes de commencer un nouveau sport familial. 🙏 Judd. With our two boys (8 and 14), we came as we were… as complete beginners. Still… we had an excellent start on surf boards thanks to the very caring Judd from Durban. With lots of advice, passion and capacity to motivate us Judd did a wonderful job. In a few waves only we were standing on our boards the three of us pointing towards the beach. A nice moment in family with what will surely become our next family sport. Thanks 🙏 so much Judd. We are now on our Highway to the big waves… one day

Superbes sessions de surf avec Paul et Judd, très bonne communication, tout se passe dans la bonne humeur. Judd et Paul limitent volontairement les groupes à 6 personnes maximum afin de prendre le temps avec chaque surfeur. Meilleurs coachs de surf pour ma part et sans aucun doute le meilleur choix du pays basque. Continuez comme cela .
